It was just announced that I am one of the top three finalists for the Toast of Music City. This is not only a huge honor, but of course a big deal! Readers, family, friends, and clients voted for their favorite Nashville Interior Designer, and chose me as one of their top three. That’s pretty cool
OK, so what is the first thing an interior designer does when in the top three? I use it as an excuse to buy a new dress of course. I never buy things, ever! I usually peruse stores for trends. SO events like this are real treats. Rather than partaking in mindless shopping, I like to shop for special occasions like this. Why? Well that article of clothing will then forever be the dress that…..
I was one of the top three finalists last year too. It took me six weeks to find the perfect dress. It had to check all my boxes, and the one I finally bought is one of my most favorite pieces in my closet. And the best part? Every time I wear that dress, it’s “the toast dress.” Because not only did I buy it as a finalist, but I won! Phew, a win-win, literally!
I found out that I was a finalist just a few days ago and so the dress saga continues. I have yet to find anything. Nordstrom probably wants to disown me as a customer. I have bought and returned 7 dresses, but hey, that dress has to check all the boxes, again.
Currently Obsessed For Fall
In an effort to find a dress and over come the frustration of finding the right one, I veered off into fun, fall finds. Here are some of my current obsessions!
- Update – the above green jacket has SOLD out. But I included some great alternatives below!
I can hear the oohs and ahh now. That jacket! Can you stand it? It’s so pretty. And I’m not much of a jewelry person but this ring and watch are gorgeous. Those glasses? Shut the front door! They remind me of Kate Hudson in Almost Famous.
Despite the fact that I still don’t have a dress, I do have a checklist for some fashion fall wants!
