While in Boston this past weekend I had the privilege of getting a personal tour From Bill of Restoration Resources, a salvage house of all things Boston. Filled with relics, antiques and vintage treasures, RR is a go-to place for anyone looking to redecorate their home. With over 4000 sq ft in his Washington St store, you are sure to find more than one item to fall in love with. Here are just a few of the items I fell in love with:
Common prior to cell phones, people had to make calls on the street. Oh the horror!
Originally a pocket door for an 1800 brownstone, this beauty would make a terrific headboard or room divider.
This Mahogany telephone booth came from a prominent local hotel. A state of the art booth with built in lighting, comfy chair and double pane glass for additional privacy.
Beautiful large window with single pane glass, I could see this as wall art, a room divider or a wonderful exterior pocket door!
From an old comedy club, this light up “laugh” sign reminded guests to clap and laugh at the talent on stage.
RR ships all over the USA. They sell everything from Mantels, to beautiful antique hardware and neat oddities like a steampunk computer desk made from a retrofitted gas pump. For more info visit their site, restoration resources. And if you happen to go in, ask for Bill!
I had heard of this place, but not by name, so have never been on the site. What a fabulous place!!! But, you can’t click on any of the items in the on line store. So no prices, and nothing more than what is shown on the main pages. Is this just a temporary glitch? Frustrating, if they are trying to sell on line!
My sister lives in Boston, so I will send her over there for sure!
