Want to ditch the design process and simply move into a fully furnished home designed by moi? Well now you can. My client Mr B has decided to put his fourth vacation home up for sale. It is an exclusive airpark home in Swansboro, a city located just outside of Placerville, California. Perfect for the pilot who wants to get away, Swansboro is located 35 minutes from Sacramento and one hour from Lake Tahoe. For more info the house is listed through Sotheby’s Fine Real Estate.

For your viewing pleasure here is a sneak peak. FYI-furnishings are not included in the listed price but all is available for purchase with the home for an additional price.

Exterior of Home

I built this home with the client from the ground up. All exterior colors, garage doors, front door, windows etc were selected by my firm.

Kitchen

This kitchen was originally designed with a peninsula where the additional recessed cabinet is (shown above to the left). I pulled the design out five feet, removed the peninsula, added a ten foot island and removed a wall that would have originally been located behind the barstools. Not shown, behind the barstools is an additional row of cabinets that I made into a beverage/baking area. It houses two beverage refrigerators, an ice maker and two 30″ ovens.

Hearth room

The hearth room located immediately off of the kitchen has four custom Old Hickory Tannery suede leather chairs with a 48″ round custom ottoman from Southwood. A perfect and cozy sitting area for a morning cup of joe or an evening cocktail. The hearth and fireplace stone was handpicked from a local quarry for its color palette and unique design.

Where is the dining table you ask? The client opted not to have a formal dining area and instead we placed a large custom poker table in its place. Located in the upper left corner of the home, this is a great place to hang out, have a 20 year old scotch and play a little black jack or poker with the boys.

Master Bedroom

The master retreat is a large room that is all about added luxuries and comfort. The cabinet at the end of the bed has a pop up TV that can be viewed in bed, or swivel to face the sectional. Originally the closet door swung out into the bedroom making it a nuisance. Instead of working against it, I had a custom door made and stained locally to make it a design feature. Not shown is the custom bathroom with a seven thousand dollar copper tub and exterior slate on the floor and in the shower. It’s amazing!

Not shown are the three bedrooms upstairs, loft and bathrooms. To see more or inquiry about this amazing home contact Autumn Peters at 530-212-0199
