I’m pretty sure I say this every year, but I can’t believe it’s already Fall! It seems like the New Year just rolled around and yet here we are. Fall is one of my favorite seasons. I love the transition in the leaves, the brisk cool air and the smell of fireplaces beginning to burn in the air. It’s pure magic, don’t you think?
One of my favorite traditions is decorating my front porch. In Feng Shui your front door is so important. It represents opportunities and so much more and decorating is one of the best ways to make that energy come alive!
Whether your porch wraps around your entire home or you have a small space just in front of your door, decorating your front door for any season is easy to do! But if you’re breaking out in hives just thinking about it, here’s a few quick tips.
- Bring in some seasonal flowers
- Find a colorful rug
- Incorporate pumpkins
- Add an outdoor throw
- A place to sit
- A comfy pillow
- And as an added bonus add some texture with logs or sticks
It doesn’t take much to get it right. And remember, it’s a good time to sweep up the Summer debris, wipe down your front door, polish up your door hardware and remove cobwebs. Make it pretty and inviting and have fun with it!
