For those who know me I’m not shy about embracing my inner weirdo. To me what makes a house a home is the personality the homeowner brings to it, and that means showing off your kitsch. I have Fred the rooster who is a pitcher from the sixties, Henry the handmade piggy bank and Ophelia, the vintage frazada from Puerto Rico. I could go on but to really experience it you have to see it in person.
In an otherwise homogeneous world where fashion and home decor are so closely blended and totally boring, your kitsch is what makes your space and style electric.
So It’s no surprise that fashion is starting to get it’s freak on. One of the hottest trends for 2017, kitsch design, with a side of quirk. Statement styles that get personal like patches, pins, printed bags and 3d charms were seen all over fashion week. They’re cute, and campy making them the perfect accessories for a night out with friends.
Loving that burger clutch for sure. Reminds me of Pleasantville, “Cheeseburger it is!”
