I am falling in love with the idea of becoming a modern day homesteader. The idea of putting my hands in the dirt to grow my own veggies and throwing seed to my egg bearing hens makes my heart sing. Waking to a crowing rooster named bobby, and making my way to the brooder to collect my morning eggs for breakfast. Having an orchard ripe of citrus, and apples, collecting my fruits to be canned for winter. A desire to really get back to basics makes my heart skip a beat.

Oh these pictures make me wish my herbs, flowers and vegetables already looked like that! I think after the Winter everyone has had that we are all so ready for Spring to be here!!
I would have loved to have a garden but our condo designer had nothing but cement in mind….I have to enjoy the pictures… I did dig a hole in the ground behind the back yard and my cats immediately tried to refill the hole!! Have a lovely weekend AManda! xxx
I just bought two Viburnums the other day: they have THE most wonderful scent in the spring! These are a different cultivar than we grew up north…but still, oh the smell! However, the deer DO love them, so I will be busy spraying regularly. Will let you know how they do!
