One of my favorite things to do this time of year, aside from enjoying the holiday festivities, is get organized! Sounds like fun, right? I know what you’re thinking, but trust me, not only do I have a plan to get you organized, but I have a plan to keep you organized!
So why do I think about organization in December? Well, this is a time of year to collect thoughts about the year as a whole. What goals did I achieve? What did I miss (or not even come close to)? And most importantly, what did I learn?
To me, December is such a great time for reflection. Winter is all about settling down and hibernating so use it to your advantage and slow down without guilt.
According to feng shui principles, our stuff that stacks up and collects dust, is postponed stagnant energy, which slows us waaaay down. As the year goes on we collect more stuff and that postponed energy just gets worse. Fatigue sets in, you become unmotivated and uninspired, and then you get passed up for a big promotion or your love life peters out. Damn!
So December is the perfect time to have a plan of attack for getting organized in the new year. And let me just say that if you do this every year and maintain throughout the year it’s a breeze to get through. But for those who may need a little push or some inspiration, I’m excited to announce that my team and I are going to offer a FREE organization mini series to help you get it together. And theres even a cheat sheet to get you started! Whoo-hoo!

Marie Kondo’s book, The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up, is a number one best seller for a reason…our stuff drags us down. And while her method of working through categories is nothing new, if it motivates you to get started then let’s do it!
Ready to get started? Tired of feeling dragged down? Then let’s do this! Speed doesn’t matter folks, because forward is forward, so let’s make 2016 your year!
xx
