I love making homemade salad dressings. The fresh ingredients make them taste way better than store bought, and they are a more healthy alternative to whats on the shelf. Here are four of my favorites:
All purpose, everyday vinaigrette
1 clove garlic
sprinkle of salt
1/2 C olive oil
1/4 C red wine vinegar
1 tablespoon mustard
dash of tabasco salt
1/2 tsp of sugar
Mix it all together in a glass measuring cup/gravy boat, chill for about thirty minutes and then serve.
Champagne Vinaigrette
1 Clove garlic
1/4 C champagne vinegar
1/2 C Olive oil
1 Tbsp Dijon mustard
some salt to taste
Pepper to taste
Combine all ingredients, chill for about thirty minutes and serve!
Cilantro Lime Dressing
1 C washed and cut cilantro
1/2 C Olive Oil
1/4 C lime juice
1/4 C orange juice
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste
1/2 clove of chopped garlic
