Today’s home is a curious one. Listed for $6 million, this home is located at 55 Governors Way, inside The Governors Club subdivision, in Brentwood, Tennessee. The Governors Club is an exclusive neighborhood in Williamson County that boasts lush acres, extravagant homes and high price tags. Everything the ego driven millionaire would want. Oh and I should mention it’s fully guard gated at all entrances. Unless invited or on the special list, don’t expect to be visiting.

Saturday Finds - Luxury Home in need of feng shui

This is not an estate I would typically showcase. Aside from it’s beautiful exterior and lush landscaping, I’m not a fan of the heavy interiors – at all. Located on 2+ acres, this 20,000 square foot home appears to have all the needs and wants to merit a $6 million dollar price tag.  Six bedrooms, seven full baths and a whopping 6 fireplaces. Seems like every millionaires dream. Or does it?

What most people will fail to see is that this home lacks a center. This is one of the most important features in Feng Shui when it comes to architecture. Without a center you lack foundation and stability – in all areas of your life. In addition to lacking it’s center, this home also includes many water features. Fountains at the front, a large raging fountain in the back, and a pool. Depending on this homeowners’ personal Ch’i this could pose danger.

To add to the complexity of this home is its’ address: the number 55. The number 5 is all about change, movement and “earth-magic.” Interesting since we are missing Earth. In feng shui the earth element is associated with the center of a home. Something this home lacks! In addition, 55 added together creates the number 10, better known as the Wheel of Fortune.

The number 10 is a number of rise and fall. It is capable of arousing extreme emotion of love or hate, respect or fear. Here the contradictory power is absolute creation and absolute destruction. A toxic polarity when missing your stable foundation.

As you’re reading this you are either completely intrigued or think I’m completely bonkers. Well, does it matter? Just look at the numbers:

  • it was originally purchased in 2004.
  • The homeowner tried to sell it in 2008, but did not succeed until 2009.
  • It was sold again a year later in 2010.
  • Then put back on the market again in 2011.
  • Sold in 2012.
  • Three years later it was back on the market and sold in 2015.
  • Just one year later and it’s back on the market.

Many factors play a role here. The overall price tag to maintain a house of this size, the $35,000 yearly property taxes, and let’s not forget it likely has a hefty mortgage. With all that said, being bought and sold 6 times in just 12 short years is a lot of change. Indicative of a 5 vibration.

No matter how you slice it, this homes’ center, or lack thereof, is being rocked to it’s non-existent core. Add to it a lot of water, and a 55 vibration and your piece of million dollar heaven is definitely showing signs of absolute creation and absolute destruction over and over again.
