Around here Earth Day is one of our favorite days of the year. Why? Because we’re a bunch of tree huggers around here! We do everything we possibly can to help improve our home planet for generations to come. We eat organically, we furnish our homes with eco-friendly brands, we even take our own bags to the grocery store. Yes, we’re one of “those” people. And you know what? We completely and totally embrace it. Earth Day was created in 1970 to promote environmental protection and even almost 50 years later we are continuing the good fight by providing you with amazing ways to celebrate this year’s Earth Day on April 22!

Provide our most important pollinators with homes and feeders
One of the best ways to celebrate Earth Day is by helping our most important pollinators to be fed and housed. Who are we talking about? The all important bees and hummingbirds of course! You can help our beautiful hummingbirds by planting plants that attract the little guys or purchasing a glass feeder. Another great way to celebrate is by purchasing a Bee Home. This allows native bees to build homes within the bamboo tubing and don’t worry! Native bees are super friendly!

Reduce your carbon footprint by not driving
Now days people see to view not driving as a big inconvenience. But it doesn’t have to be! You can get in your daily workout by walking or riding a bike to work or to run near by errands. You can take public transit such as a streetcar or even carpool to work.

Recycle your e-waste
Do you have old electronics that are just collecting dust and taking up valuable storage space? Who doesn’t? Earth Day is a great way to spring clean all your e-waste… not to mention it’s a good Feng Shui practice to rid your home of clutter. It stirs up good energy and who couldn’t use a little more good energy?! Gather up all your old electronics and cart them off to Staples, Best Buy, or Office Depot to donate.

Do you have a great way to celebrate Earth Day that doesn’t involve planting a tree (although that’s a great way to celebrate!)? Tell us about it in the comments below!
